How you can help - and have helped                                  already!

Going Forward Buses is a not for profit Community Interest Company, and we can only continue with your support.  The easiest way is to use the bus as often as possible - if you have a concessionary pass you can travel for free (except early mornings Monday to Fridays) and every journey counts as the Council reimburses us at a set rate for every journey recorded.  Donations are always welcome too - most buses have a fuel fund donations box helping to offset our fuel costs.  Or you can write a cheque made payable to Going Forward Buses, which can be handed to any of our drivers or sent to our postal address 17 Elvendon Road, Goring, Reading, RG8 0EA.  If you'd like to make a bank transfer, please contact us by email for details.  Thanks ever so much!

Cleeve by Goring WI Teas at Goring Lock

The annual event on Sundays in August always raises a generous amount for charity, and in 2018 Going Forward Buses was very happy to have benefited from it!  Thanks so much to the organisers - and those who contributed by buying teas, coffees and cakes - and sorry the weather wasn't better on the second of the Sundays.  The donation is very much appreciated.

The South Stoke Barbecue

For the third year running, the South Stokers have donated proceeds from their annual barbecue to Going Forward Buses - and have raised over £1,000 for us each year 2017 to 2019.  A very special thanks to the organisers and all who attended.  The donation is very much appreciated and very much needed too!  See the extract below from the September 2017 edition of the South Stoke Newsletter for a  report about the 2017 event.
